Indulge in a refreshing Pink Lemon Drop Martini, blending zesty lemon juice, smooth vodka, and a touch of sweetness from triple sec and cranberry juice. This vibrant cocktail is perfect for any occasion, offering a delightful balance of flavors and a beautiful pink hue.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 oz vodka (preferably good quality)
  • 1 oz triple sec (or any orange liqueur)
  • 1 oz fresh lemon juice (about half a lemon)
  • 1 oz cranberry juice
  • 1 oz simple syrup (adjust based on sweetness preference)
  • Ice cubes (for shaking and serving)
  • Fresh lemon slices (for garnish)
  • Coarse sugar (for rimming the glass, optional)

Instructions

  1. Take a lemon wedge and run it around the rim of your martini glass to help the sugar stick.
  2. On a small plate, pour some coarse sugar (or regular granulated sugar if coarse is unavailable).
  3. Dip the rim of the glass into the sugar, twisting slightly for an even coating. Set aside.
  4. In a cocktail shaker, add 2 oz of vodka.
  5. Pour in 1 oz of triple sec for a lovely orange flavor.
  6. Squeeze in 1 oz of fresh lemon juice (fresh is best!).
  7. Add 1 oz of cranberry juice for that beautiful pink hue.
  8. Pour in 1 oz of simple syrup (adjust to taste).
  9. Fill the shaker with ice cubes, covering the liquid.
  10. Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds until well mixed and chilled.
  11. Using a cocktail strainer, pour the mixture into the rimmed martini glass slowly to avoid spills.
  12. Admire the beautiful pink color of your drink.
  13. Garnish with a fresh lemon slice on the rim or a twist of lemon peel for flair.

Notes

  • Serve chilled: Consider chilling your martini glass in the freezer before pouring.
  • Pair with light appetizers like shrimp cocktail, cheese platters, or spicy nachos.
  • Experiment with flavors by adding a splash of soda or infusing vodka with herbs or fruits.
