This irresistible Sweet Chili Garlic Salmon recipe features tender, flaky salmon glazed with a sticky-sweet, slightly spicy sauce that’s packed with flavor. Quick to make and perfect for both busy weeknights and elegant dinners!
4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
⅓ cup sweet chili sauce
2 tablespoons soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
2 tablespoons honey
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon lime juice
1 teaspoon sesame oil
Optional garnish: sesame seeds, chopped green onions, lime wedges
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
In a small bowl, whisk together the sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, lime juice, and sesame oil.
Place the salmon fillets skin-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
Brush the glaze generously over each fillet.
Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
For extra caramelization, broil during the last 1-2 minutes — but keep a close eye on it!
Garnish with sesame seeds, green onions, and lime wedges if desired. Serve immediately.
Don’t overbake: Salmon cooks quickly! Check at 12 minutes to avoid drying it out.
Customize the spice: Add Sriracha or red pepper flakes if you like it hotter.
Substitute options: No sweet chili sauce? Make a quick version with honey, vinegar, ketchup, and chili flakes.
Leftovers: Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
Perfect pairing: Serve over steamed rice, roasted veggies, or a fresh cucumber salad.
